RESUMO

We evaluated the feasibility, morbidity, and efficacy of laparoscopic management of ovarian cysts and the concordant sonographic appearance with histologic diagnosis. Preoperative assessments included a detailed family history, pelvic and general examinations, and transvaginal ultrasound examination. The last revealed simple cysts in 38 (69.1%), septate cysts in 15 (27.3%), and complex cysts in 2 (3.6%) women. The final diagnosis was made by peritoneal fluid cytology and intraoperative histologic diagnosis. Of the cysts diagnosed as functional, eight were simple cysts. In the serous group, 17 were simple and 6 septate. In the teratoma group, six were simple, five were septate, and two were complex cysts. The two thought to be paraovarian were only simple cysts. All ultrasound evaluations agreed with the benign histologic diagnoses. We performed 28 enucleations, 10 cystectomies, and 17 ovariectomies. There were no postoperative complications. Laparoscopy seems to be the best choice of surgery for benign ovarian cysts, the results of transvaginal ultrasound examinations being fully concordant with the histologic diagnoses.

RESUMO

GIFT under USG control (USGIFT) was performed in 18 females between may and december of 1992. The ovulation was stimulated by gonadotropin and Clomid. In result we obtained four pregnancies--three normal uterine pregnancies and one ectopic pregnancy. One of these pregnant women gave birth to a child in February 1993.

RESUMO

Medical documentation of 80 women operated on because of ectopic pregnancy between the years 1991-1992 was analyzed. Methods of early diagnosis and ways of surgical approaches were discussed. Authors of this article give priority to controlling beta sub-unit HCG acc. to Romero, to ultrasonographic vaginal probe examination and to diagnostic laparoscopy. Early surgical intervention increases the chances to maintain woman's fertility. All procedures on women with ectopic--oviduct pregnancy should be sparing, depending on the ward equipment and personnel training and should be performed by the means of operative laparoscopy method.

RESUMO

The authors studied 60 pregnant women in the pregnancy period from 29-37 weeks with threatened preterm labor. The control group formed 40 healthy pregnant women in the same pregnancy period. In all pregnant women the values of oestriol in 24-hour urine and placental lactogen in the serum was measured. Statistically significantly lower values of placental lactogen were found in the serum of pregnant women with threatened preterm labor. The values of oestriol in 24-hour urine were also lower, but the differences were not statistically significant. In 40 pregnant women in the pregnancy period from 16 to 28 weeks with threatened in the serum is a useful method of monitoring of pregnancy with threatened preterm labor. Determination of oestriol was without any greater diagnostic significance in the case threatened preterm labor.

RESUMO

In 40 pregnant women in the pregnancy period from 16 to 28 weeks with threatened preterm labor diagnosed after clinical investigations and recording of cardiotocogram the values of oestriol in 24-hour urine and placental lactogen in the serum was measured. These values were compared to analogous determinations in a group 40 healthy women with similar duration of pregnancy. Statistically significantly lower values of placental lactogen were found in the serum of pregnant women with threatened preterm labor. The values of oestriol in 24-hour urine were also lower, but the differences were not statistically significant. In conclusion the authors state that enzymatically determined placental lactogen in the serum is a useful method of monitoring of pregnancy with threatened preterm labor. Determination of oestriol was without any greater diagnostic significance in the case of threatened preterm labor.
